Wildflower Essences

Blending Counselling with Nature

What is wildflower essence therapy?

Wildflower essences work within the subtle human energy field, working on a vibrational level, when applied to different acupoints around the the body.

These powerful blends can help clients gently uncover the many emotional layers buried beneath the path to healing.

Why I use wildflower essence therapy

I have loved flowers and have been fascinated by them ever since I can remember.

They have always made me feel like everything is going to be okay!

Flower’s have been used for healing over thousands of years across many indigenous cultures, including the 1st people’s of Australia.

After studying wildflower essence therapy, I learnt that their use stimulates the body’s natural capacity to bring itself back to homeostasis (i.e., steady equilibrium).

Wildflower essences can be used to:

  • Enhance greater peace and calmness;

  • Encourage joy and optimism;

  • Find forgiveness and focus; and

  • Gain clarity and insight into relationships and life events.

How are wildflower essences used?

We begin with a wildflower affinity. This involves the client focusing on a situation they would like help with, we then channel the emotions and feelings this situation brings. We then use the flower affinity to process an emotional path narrowing an individual and unique wildflower selection process to between 5 - 10 wildflowers.

The client then lays down on a massage table and I put a few drops of the essence on the acupoint on the top of the head (we call this the Bai-hui), we ask the client to focus on the situation and how it makes them feel, we can talk through what thoughts come up, or not, it's totally up to you. We repeat this with all wildflowers chosen and summarise our session at the end of the last essence.

As much as the wildflower selection process is unique for every client, so is each session. There are multiple outcomes which may result using the wildflower essences. The opportunity to breathe and seek a sense of clarity is one emotion which many clients have encountered.

Alternative methods we can use other than the massage table is a foot bath, or seated position using other acupoints to help with certain things such as stress.

What is the difference between wildflower essences & essential oils?

Wildflower essences are created by using heated water to extract the flower’s energy, no part of the living flower is contained within the final essence and there is no fragrance. A liquid substance is used to preserve the essence of the flower.

They are completely safe for any living being to take internally, including animals. They are all-natural and help support healing through homeopathic means.

Essential oils are distilled from the aromatic parts of plants. They are a fragrant oil and react to the sensory function of the human body i.e. When lavender essential oil is smelt, it generally trigger’s a calming sensation.
